Electrical Inspector, Sr

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED. Five years of work experience as an electrical contractor or journeyman electrician (in residential, commercial, industrial and low voltage) is required (or equivalent combination of experience and training).

Preferred Education & Experience

Associates degree or vocational training in topics such as electrical wiring, architectural drawing, electricity, building codes and carpentry; continuing education is desirable. Ten years of related work experience is preferred (equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).

Licensures and Certifications

Position would be expected to have licensure or professional certifications appropriate to the position. Required: Valid Georgia driver's license Required: Must have a Residential Electrical Inspector certification from the ICC or International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). Preferred: State of Georgia Electrical Contractor License
