General Description and Classification Standards

The incumbent in this position acts as lead in planning, maintenance, and enhancement of staff related programs and services. The incumbent oversees initiatives designed to facilitate onboarding, performance management and professional development and improve workplace culture across the organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Champions the values of the court through the design of activities and implementation of related initiatives. Focuses on the needs of the everyday work lives of organization team members to enhance their engagement as stakeholders in the organization. Communicates with our team members, helping each one understand the court's strategic direction and goals Provides recruitment support to ensure culture alignment. Provides leadership in onboarding team members. Assists in the development and implementation of departmental training initiatives for team members. Builds on a culture of employee development and succession planning. Designs, facilitates and implements employee enrichment to support employee engagement/satisfaction and recognition programs to value excellence, integrity and initiative/innovation.

Considerable knowledge and proficiency in contemporary management theory and techniques. Considerable knowledge of organizational functions and responsibilities that are governed by regulations and policies. Ability to communicate ideas effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate employees. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, including the ability to manage conflict. Ability to measure and manage individual and team performance. Ability to learn, evaluate, and improve processes and data systems that support the work being performed within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

3 or more years of relevant management and supervisory experience in administrative setting; BA degree in management, public administration or related field, or equivalent educational experience. Equivalent combination of training and work experience that indicates possession of the knowledge, abilities, and skills will be determined under prescribed guidelines.
